Owerri Stood Still at Unveiling/ Books Presentation by Prof B.T.O Ikegwuoha


A book launch organized by Ik Anyanwu of Arise Afrika held over the weekend at the Amaechi Hall of Rock View Hotels, Owerri. The launch, which unveiled two books written by Professor Bernard Thompson Onyemauchechukwu Ikegwuoha, titled \”Leadership Theory and Practises: Critical Issues, of Political and Economic Development\” and \”The Igbo People of South Eastern Nigeria; Issues, Questions and Dilemma of Leadership,\” drew the creme de la  creme of the Nigerian society to the venue. Professor Patrick Nnamocha, while doing the citation of the author, described him as erudite scholar who would not get tired even in retirement.

Reviewing one of the books titled \”Leadership Theory and Practices,\” Professor Ezeanyika said that the author in his book not only chronicled and interpreted various theories and historicised them to create suiting theories for Nigeria; but at d same time compared leadership in Nigeria against that of the united States of America (U.S.A), pointing out successes in the U.S.A and failures in Nigeria. In attendance were Prof BEB Nwoke, Rev Fr Prof Philip Ogbonna, Rev Dr Chidi Okoroafor, General Overseer Assemblies of God Church who Unveiled the books, Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodinma, Hon Deacon Chike Okafor,   Sir Adibe, Special Adviser to the Vice Chancellor, IMO State University; Dr. Eddy Anyanwu, former Imo State Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP); Dr. (Mrs.) E.U. Uwazuruike; Professor Victor Koga; the Deputy Registrar of IMO State University Professor Osuagwu; professor Edwin Njoku; as well as former Chief Judge of Imo State and a host of other dignitaries
