Today, Pst Emmanuel Itua ministered on The Power of His resurrection.
Taking his text from 1 Cor 1:17-18, 1 Cor 15:1-8
The Pastor said, \”No Christianity without the cross because it was there the great substitution took place. Righteousness is a gift given to man by Jesus when He took our place on that cross. No man can meet the standard of God. Jesus is the one that saves and set free. \”
\”Resurrection is the act of arising from the dead and becoming alive again. His death and resurrection was according to scriptures. 1 Cor 15:1-8. Acts 4:10. 1 Cor 2:2. 2 Cor 13:4. \”
\”His death and resurrection is the focus of the gospel. Rom 8:30-37
What His resurrection validates;
1. The resurrection of Jesus validates the authority and the prophesies of scripture. The Old Testament was a shadow of things to come and the New Testament was the substance that came. Luke 24:19-27,44. If you don\’t accept Jesus as a lamb that died for your sin, you\’ll face Him as the Lion of the tribe of Judah on judgement day. Don\’t die in church, die in Christ. Christ came to raise new creations not denominations.
2. The resurrection of Jesus validates His person as Christ and His authority as the resurrection and life. John 10:17, John 11:25. Resurrection is not an event, it\’s a person. It\’s not possible for death to hold Him down. Death can\’t hold life down. Acts 2:23-24. If nothing can hold Him down, nothing can hold you down if He lives in you. \”
3. The resurrection of Jesus validates Liberty. Heb 2:14-15
Prayers;
\”It is not possible for death to cut our lives short. Failure is not possible. Enough of that fear and intimidation. It is not possible.\”
