- When I was asked by my friend Mr Ikechukwu Anyanwu to write a piece about his new book my mentor, ministry and I, it reminded me of 1998 the year we enrolled at IMSU to study Sociology & Anthropology. IK, as I fondly called him then, because today, I call him Chairman, was a simple and down to earth guy. As my course mate IK was diligent, proactive but not wild as some of us. He was a man ahead of his generation. A visioner and pacesetter
He ensured that he always got it right.
He was pioneer of Living Word Campus Church Imsu and President Thunder Bolt ministry back in those days with another of my childhood friend Ikechukwu Iwuanyanwu. Thunderbolt did all within its power to convert many cultists to God in those days. It was not an easy feat.
In business Ikechukwu Anyanwu was exceptional. He contributed to the setting up of many big fast food companies in IMO, which include Rennys, Sweet Fast food Aba, Citi Center, Kelvic, Big Treat, Trendys Fried Chicken to mention but a few
It was after he joined the business of developing eateries that I left him, as in close contact, but was surprised to hear and see that outside blazing trail in the hospitality industry. He is also into Media Industry and is now the publisher of Arise Magazine which is profoundly doing well and going places too.
I am happy that Ikechukwu Anyanwu has a wonderful wife, and lovely kids, without whom, it will be near impossible for him to have achieved anything worthwhile. I wish you well as you keep on growing from strength to strength.
