Hon. Deacon Chike Okafor, member representing Obowo, Ihitte Uboma and Ehime Mbano (Okigwe South) in the Federal House of Reps, has flagged off Covid-19 Relief Materials in his Federal Constituency
Overwhelming joy as the covid-19 relief materials got to the rural communities today.
The Astute lawmaker has continued to touch lives these period that many people are in need of what to eat, especially the vulnerable ones in the society, occasioned by the dreaded global coronavirus pandemic
Speaking today, he urged his palliative committee team, tagged \”KIM-BOM ARTISANS COVID-19 INTERVENTION\”, to discharge their duties dispassionately in order to get to the exact people that the program is rationed to favour.
The Honourable member who was represented by his Wife, Mrs Akudo Okafor, after thanking the committee members for their resilient characters since the committee was formed, admonished them to look out for the poorest ones in their localities, (referring to those who can not afford above one square meal a day).
She recapped that if they can do that, they have successfully brought smiles and joy to those who can not afford what to eat, especially in this period of hardship. The distribution of food items, such as yam, rice, beans and noodles, will commence tomorrow across communities in the federal constituency.
