Governance entails more than setting up frivolous committees before being sworn in and requires more networking at the center and within Nigeria than jamboree trips to the USA and Frankfurt prior to being sworn in just to deceive the gullible. Governance is strategic engagement and only strategic leaders understand this and skillfully strike at what matters.
Few days ago, The Federal Ministry of Communication and Digital Economy, in conjunction with the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), commissioned 11 completed projects across the nation with one of such projects, \”A Digital Emergency Center\” sited in Owerri, Imo State.
The event which was virtually conducted at Abuja was ably chaired by His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Imo State, the Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma.
The Digital Emergency Center is one out of numerous projects being attracted from the centre through the strategic engagement of His Excellency with Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) of the Federal Government. Many more of such projects are still being expected in the state.
In furtherance of his commitment towards securing the lives and properties of Imolites, His Excellency, also recently engaged the Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC) for partnership in safeguarding the lives and properties of Imolites especially rural farmers through the Agro Rangers, a unit of NSCDC. Protecting farmers and their products which is a key function of the Agro Rangers is critical to meeting the agricultural revolution His Excellency is igniting in Imo state.
It would be callous of anyone to display acute ignorance and misinform the public especially in matters of governance or policies which they lack the fecundity to understand. Garrulousness isn\’t opposition. In Imo state those who lack the intelligence to decipher government policies and strategic engagement and are notorious with garrulousness have masked themselves as mouthpiece of the so called opposition and are arrogantly misinforming the public.
Imo state is in a state of despair as a result of negligence by the previous administrations and it requires extensive synergy across board in order to swiftly and adequately ameliorate the terrible situations in the state. This, His Excellence Hope Uzodimma has set out to do. His Excellency, The Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodinma aptly understood this and has been engaging various MDAs of government and the private sector in other to reposition Imo state and make it the Investment Hub of the South East.
The administration of Governor Hope Uzodinma in out to ensure shared prosperity to all Imolites. Shared responsibility is required as well because Imo state belongs to us all.
