Ministry of Education, Imo State releases timeline for the  2019/2020 and 2020/2021 academic Sessions.

 UPDATED INFORMATION ABOUT THE COMPLETION OF THE IMO STATE THIRD TERM EXAMINATION FOR THE 2019/2020 ACADEMIC SESSION 

 To:

-Ag. Chairman, IMSUBEB 

-Ag. ES -SEMB

-Chairman, NAPPS, Imo State

-Chairman, ANCOPPS, Imo State

-Chairman, NUT, Imo State

-Primary School Heads, Imo State

-All Stakeholders, Imo State Education System

RE: Third Term Exams for the 2019/2020 Academic Session 

On October 5, 2020, His Excellency, Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodinma , Executive Governor of Imo State, authorized the resumption of all schools (Nursery, Primary and Secondary) for the 2019/2020 academic session.

In view of the above, teachers, Primary School Heads and Principals of Secondary Schools were asked to adhere to the guidelines provided to them -which are:

1.  Resumption of schools/revision of all classes/lectures (October 5, 2020 – October 23, 2020)

2.  Commencement of Examination (October 26, 2020 – October 30, 2020). This brings to an end the  2019/2020 Academic Session.

 Grading/Marking Period

3.  Period for the Grading and Marking of Examination Papers by teachers starts on  October 31, 2020 and ends on November 6, 2020 

COMMENCEMENT OF 2020/2021 ACADEMIC SESSION

-The *2020/2021 Academic Session* will commence on November 9, 2020 and *end on December 23, 2020.* 

             

This timeline of academic activities and directives should be adhered to and complied with, by all the stakeholders in the Imo State Education Sector. 

 *Note* that the above information has become expedient and necessary at this time so that everyone is properly updated and guided.
