THE BOLD PROJECT

The aim of “THE BOLD PROJECT is to educate, equip and empower young minds for the future.

We want to equip young teenagers in senior secondary school with diverse skills that would help them to excel by putting them on the right path and less stressful life after school while mending them to be good God-fearing people in the society. This we believe will help reduce crime, and poverty, and promote economic growth.

The project will have three outputs: Intensive training for students, provision of essential materials to practice, and start-up, Mentorship, and Work Experience.

B. Background

According to statistics, Imo state has a population of 4,451102 with a total of 478641 living teenagers of age 14 to 19, of these, girls are 234851 and boys 243789. Yet little of this number of teenagers, have access to skills or even know about major thriving skills and their benefits. This is because they are yet to discover themselves and are ignorant/ illiterate about what it means to acquire skills or rather, what life as an adult means.

Most students/ teenagers who have passed the stage of self-discovery, choose a skill and know how important it is to acquire a skill, but do not know how to go about it. They lack the necessary mentorship and direction.

Parents and guardians who are stuck in the ideology of going to school, getting good grades, getting out, working, paying bills and retiring can pose barriers to students/ teenagers who have shown interest in skill acquisition.

SKILL-UP AFRICA Pet Project will go a long way in changing the narratives in Africa.

Let’s support this noble initiatives by Arise Africa
