Arise Africa Community Development Award Recipient, Economist, Technocrat, Humanitarian and the President of Nke Nke Enyi Izuogu Foundation for the Needy and the Aged, Chief (Dr) Sir. Ikenna Aniche KSJI. Nke Nke Enyi Izuogu ( Gburu gburu 1-12) has lost his beloved mother, Dame Chinyere Catherine Aniche ( Nee Okpara) to the cold hands of death.

Mama, a community leader and a devout christian with a high sense of moral standard gave up the ghost today, June 29,a day to Nke Nke Enyi Izuogu’s Birthday, in the presence of his loving children and relations after an earthly sojourn, cumulating in active service to God and humanity.

Mama, born on July 15, 1941, was married to her soulmate and Cherished husband, Late Mazi Clement Ikechukwu Donatus Aniche (Ugwumba Aro) who died on June 6, 2017, whose celebration of life attracted the high and mighty at his funeral in Okigwe, Imo State.

Confirming the death of his mother in a telephone conversation to Okeomanews, Nke Nke Enyi Izuogu ( Gburu Gburu 1-12) who is the first son of the family cried uncontrollably and lamented the Sad development.

Nke Nke Enyi Izuogu said that though it was appointed unto man to die once, his mother’s demise was devastating, considering the motherly role she was expected to keep playing in the family and her community.

He said ” I feel devastated and perplexed over the death of my beloved and cherished mother. She was a great mother and personality who used her God given talent to help the world around her

” She would be remembered for her numerous contributions to mankind. Her love for family values, moral sincerity, christian standards and cultural reawakening will remain evergreen in our hearts.”

October 19, 2023 has been announced as date for interment and celebration of a life well lived.

Mama was survived by nine children, over 35 Grandchildren and numerous friends and relations.
