10TH IMO HOUSE OF ASSEMBLY UNDER OLEMGBE IS PEACEFUL AND WORKING, SAYS AGABIGE

The two term Member representing Orsu State Constituency in the Imo State House of Assembly and House Committee Chairman on Agriculture,Rt Hon Engr Uche Francis Agabige Mnse (Ifechukwukwuru) has described the current and 10th Imo State House of Assembly under the Speaker of Imo State House of Assembly,Rt Hon Chike Olemgbe as peaceful and working as a family since it’s inauguration with its eyes fully on the ball and enjoy high level of concentration to offer the good people of Imo State well deserved representation to meet up with their high expectations for good governance and a better Imo State of their collective dream.

According to the Eziawa, Orsu Local Government Area born petroleum Engineer turned politician, the current State House of Assembly has done so well in the discharge of it’s legislative functions due to the leadership style of Rt Hon Speaker Chike Olemgbe and his Deputy, Amara Iwuanyanwu, having shown more commitment to the service of the state than mundane things that could cause distractions and internal wranglings.

He observed that as the first among equal, the leadership of the House has been so committed to attract the overwhelming support of the Honourable Members for collective efforts in delivering optimally to the people of the state, considering the fact that there is peace and unity of purpose among members and leaders. He added that being brothers and comrades from the same political party,APC alongside the humility and consistency of the Speaker made the House undivided and successful.

Rt Hon Agabige made the assertion penultimate Weekend while speaking to newsmen in Owerri on the state of the House of Assembly since it’s inauguration couple of months ago.He said that the Speaker is a good leader, adding that peace is the most potent instrument that guarantees productivity and effective service delivery, which he observed is the portion of the 10th Assembly.

The ranking House Member also commended the Deputy Speaker, Rt Hon Amara Iwuanyanwu for consistency in the discharge of his duties and for bringing experience to bear in the 10th Assembly as a ranking House Member and immediate past Deputy Speaker in the 9th Assembly.He revealed that Rt Hon Iwuanyanwu is complimentary and supportive and that that has helped the House.

On the relationship between the House and the Executive Arm of the Government, the Orsu ranking Lawmaker posited that it has been so cordial and warm, according to him,one of the major achievements of the ruling APC and the leader of party in State, Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma, the Executive Governor of Imo State was the show of capacity and ability to deliver 26 State Assembly seats to the ruling party and that that alone provided a beacon in which the unity of the House in one hand and it’s cordial relationship with the Executive is cemented.

He reiterated that the House under the watch of Speaker Olemgbe and his Deputy,Amara Iwuanyanwu will continue to enjoy a blissful relationship with the Executive and intensify their partnership in an effort to give the people of Imo State good governance and massive developmental strides as their well deserved democracy dividends.

Agabige commended Imo State Governor, Senator Uzodimma on his continued efforts to transform the state’s infrastructure and other sectors of the economy.

Speaking further, the House Member revealed that the Governor has given enough support through provision of adequate resources and logistics to security Agencies working in concert with Odimma Orsu Initiative to eradicate insecurity in Orsu Local Government Area and gradually work to restore normalcy there.According to him, more successes have been recorded in the recent days with the strong military presence in the Council Area and cooperation of the indigenes to stamp out banditry and lawlessness in the Area.
