Says, Dubia was a Desert, But It Took Someone With Ideas To Transform The Desert Into World Class City
Mbieri Mbaitolu born entrepreneur and philanthropist, Mr Ugochukwu Aguguam has said that by 2027, Imo people should look for someone with the needed vision, passion and ideas and support the person to be their Governor, adding that only someone with idea, vision and passion, can take Imo to the next level of development.
Auguguam who spoke in Owerri weekend said, the much talked about DUBIA was a Desert and remained a desert for decades, but it took a man with great ideas to come as their leader and transformed that desert jnto a mega and world class city, that has become the envy of many , including the developed nations of the world.
According to him, it takes ideas to creat jobs and transform a place, stating that Imo has no reason to be talking about mass unemployment with all that are in ground already, noting that, all the moribund industries littering the state for long could be revived for results .
For him, “Imo can not be developed with allocation from the federation account. But someone with ideas could create wealth and develop the State independent of the money from the federation account. Imo can create 5000 jobs in a year with ideas. Nothing develops a place than ideas. The reason for the popular saying that , ideas rule the world”
He listed some of the existing industries Sam Mbakwe built when he was Governor can be revived including Adapalm, Avutu Poultry, Ceramic Industry, Resin Pain Industry, the Shoe Industry and so an, and remarked that only a compassionate leader with the passion, vision and Ideas could fix these abandoned industries and bring them back into life for the good of the State and her people.
Aguguam said, unless this is done, the State would continue to get the same result, year in, year out adding that the best equity is the one that will give birth to people oriented results and enthrone development and growth.
The founder of Ugo-Care Foundation with “Changing the World for Good” as the motto, urged Imo people especially the political leaders, to look beyond personal gains and opt for what would ensure the progress and prosperity of the State for the good of our generation and generations yet unborn
