2,000 Imolites Attend Youth Empowerment Program Organized by OZB

Over two thousand youths in Imo State yesterday, October 8, 2024, gathered at the Place Event Centre, Owerri for the commencement of a large-scale empowerment program organized by the former lawmaker representing Nkwerre/Isu/Nwangele/Njaba federal constituency.

The initiative, aimed at equipping young and women of Imo state with vital skills, offers training in palm oil production, solar installation, filmmaking, poultry, and fish farming.

The program, which was co-sponsored by the Federal Co-operative College, Oji River, Enugu State, has been hailed by beneficiaries as a significant step toward addressing unemployment and creating self-sustaining opportunities for youths in the state.

Participants expressed their appreciation for Hon. Ozurigbo’s efforts, describing the training as a much-needed intervention.

The representative of the Provost of FCCO, Mr. Chukwudi Okey Eze eulogised the person of Hon. Ozurigbos attracting such large scale training to the state stating that the institution is always willing to collaborate with forward thinking individuals to ensure the youths and people of Nigeria gain the necessary skills to empower themselves.

Speaking at the event, several attendees praised the former lawmaker for his foresight and dedication to youth development. They highlighted the importance of the diverse skill set being offered, emphasizing how these areas of training can lead to economic independence and long-term empowerment.

The empowerment program is expected to run from the 8-12th of October, 2024, providing hands-on training and mentorship across the various industries.

With this initiative, the progressive politician hopes to inspire young people to embrace entrepreneurship and improve their livelihoods, while also contributing to the growth of Imo State’s economy.
