In a determined effort to combat hunger and poverty, Good Food For A Day Foundation has launched a nationwide feeding initiative, beginning with a community feeding event held on Monday, October 28, 2024, in Owerri, Imo State.

The event brought smiles to the faces of street children, as members of the Foundation handed out food packs and water to beggars and the less privileged on the streets of Owerri.

Good Food For A Day Foundation’s mission centers on promoting better health and well-being by addressing food insecurity. Through mobilizing compassionate Nigerians and engaging local communities, the Foundation encourages a collaborative approach to fighting hunger.

The Foundation operates on the principle of shared responsibility, recognizing the pressing need to tackle hunger and poverty across Nigeria.

“Our goal is to organize these feeding programs every three to six months, progressively covering all states in alphabetical order to make a nationwide impact,” the Foundation explained.

Founder Elvis Chibuzor aka Shine Onyeigba , speaking after the event, noted that this inaugural program served over 250 individuals in need on the streets of Owerri. He reaffirmed the Foundation’s commitment to sustaining this initiative across all 36 states, including the Federal Capital Territory.

In support of its mission, Good Food For A Day Foundation invites volunteers to join its efforts. Additionally, it seeks content creators, video editors, bloggers, and social media enthusiasts to lend their skills and amplify the program’s impact.

The Foundation welcomes support from the public, including ideas, prayers, and goodwill messages, and seeks advocates to boost engagement on its social media platforms, drawing attention from a broader audience and potential sponsors.

“We believe that everyone deserves access to nutritious food, and we are devoted to making a positive impact on the lives of those less fortunate,” said Chibuzor. “We invite everyone to join us – through volunteering, spreading awareness, or providing resources.”
