The ancient town of Orlu, Imo State consisting of diverse professions and includes: civil servants, bankers, traders, artisans, contractors etc was indeed agog this weekend .
Orlu is enterprising. It can boost of many banks, international market, teaching hospital, various schools, EEDC, Hotels and lots of order corporate organizations. Little did we know how much importance people living in Orlu paid to having a time of relaxation, leisure until the “FAMILY FUN TIME” event.
GCFN Consulting Services – a group of professionals reputed in events planning and management recently played host to FAMILY FUN TIME held to motivate and encourage our children. Despite the security challenge in the country, a big crowd turned up for the event
A memorable and remarkable event it was indeed.The environment was calm, serene and devoid of any form of distractions. It was a fun filled celebration with our loved ones, full of pomp and pageantry.
Daddies, mummies and the children were looking wonderful. It was indeed a day of grandeur and splendor for the excited kids. The colorful event attracted the donation of exercise books, biros, drinks from GCFN CONSULT, ABC Transport, Diamond bank, FCMB Bank, Nigerian Bottling Company, Consolidated Breweries and SOMMIES LTD.
A beautiful cake stood at the center of the stage quite imposing and attractive. Varieties of party size small chops were served at one point chin chin, groundnuts, sweets, solace Roll, Hi malt, caprisome, bobo, ice tea, chivita and fan ice cream.
As the invitees got served, the children at some point had lots of outdoor games and other fun filled activities, various competitions like Quiz+ Spelling + Singing+ Dancing competitions.
Junior Category featured several kids, while the Imo State University Primary School stood out as they thrilled the crowd with a discussion “Father and mother : who is more important in the home?”
They also swaged it out with pupils from other schools in the spelling competition.
Holy Rosary Secondary School came first in almost all the categories of senior competition like singing, Quiz, dancing competitions. While Township Comprehensive Secondary came first in comedy and drama presentation.
An aspect of the event that thrilled the whole crowd was when a 6 year old pupil was able to answer correctly the question “who is the founder of Hunger Solace and year?”Giving credence to the fact that the legacy that Hon Jerry Alagbaso is indeed leaving behind will last for generations. Posterity will not forget Hon Jerry Alagbaoso and amiable wife Mrs. Solace Alagbaoso.
Hon Jerry Alagbaosu is the Honouralable member representing Orlu/Oru/Osu Federal Constituency.
In a vision statement, the coordinator of the programme/host Mr. Ikechukwu Anyanwu urged the people to embrace FAMILY FUNTIME. “We are known not only for our quality of products and services but also as a result of the fact that we recognize the important role of our families which plays a great role in molding the child. Which is the reason why we are coming up with this monthly event called “Family Funtime”. We believe that a healthy family will definitely bring out a healthy society. Most of our problems like prostitution, kidnapping, arson, terrorism will be solved. We are interested in reaching out to our children and our society through our homes.”
The eventful programmed featured the cutting of cake by representative of various schools with the organizers of the event
Family funtime show pioneered by Gcfn Consult would also be coming at the last Saturday of every month at various locations.
