The 21th day of April 2018 will continue to resonate in the annals of history as a day, the Catholic Diocese of Ahiara, and indeed, the entire Mbaise Nation rolled out the drums in honour of their own.
In an event that could be better described as the home-coming of Galaxy of prominent sons and daughters of Mbaise Nation, ranging from the intellectual icons and academic colossus like Prof. Viola Onwuliri, Captains of industries like Frank Nneji (ABC Transport), Political gladiators like Rt. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha (Represented), to seasoned technocrats and Financial gurus like Sir Stanley AMUCHIE, the Traditional Rulers and Clergymen, and other well meaning sons and daughters of Mbaise, the man Sir Stanley AMUCHIE (President Goodlight Foundation) stood out as not just the best orange among oranges, but an Apple Among Oranges.
While receiving an Award of \”Icon of Development\” in the Silver Jubilee Anniversary of the GuideNewspaper, and maiden launching for a Diocesan Printing Press, Ezinwa Sir Stanley AMUCHIE, described the event as not just epoch, but a landmark achievement for entire Mbaise Nation.
In his address as the Chief Launcher of the Printing Press, Sir AMUCHIE seized the auspicious occasion to thank very immensely, the leadership of Catholic Diocese of Ahiara for inviting and finding him worthy to be so honoured.
Speaking on the occasion, Ezinwa Sir Stanley AMUCHIE reiterated the importance of information decimation in the age of globalization. He noted that the News Paper remains an effective tool for spreading the right information especially, in this era of social media were all forms of misinformation are pushed to the cyber space for the gullible citizens to consume.
He therefore insisted that the church cannot afford to stay away in the business of information management to aid the growth of Christian life of its members. AMUCHIE insisted that the choices we make, or allow others to make while we stay aloof, could have enormous negative consequences on us as individuals, and collectively as Christians.
In his closing remarks, he encouraged the editorial team to be creative in their writing, while advising that they should endeavor to circulate the news letter through every means available not just print.
While thanking the Leadership of Ahiara Diocese for giving him the opportunity to work in the vine yard of God, and allowing him to be part of history, Sir Stanley AMUCHIE in his usual philanthropic manner, defiled denominational mentality as a Knight in the Anglican Church, and donated hugely for the work of God in Catholic Diocese. Thereby typifying the nature of a true Christian.
