Yesterday, in a quiet ceremony, the Deputy Speaker of Imo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Ugonna Ozurigbo joined the Ozurigbo dynasty, led by their patriarch, Chief Donatus Obiajunwa Ozurigbo (Óchiagha), to celebrate their matriarch, Lolo Florence Chigere Ozurigbo who turned 70, recently.
The importance of turning 70, to the family, was so obvious that the Children of the celebrant defied distance to gather from various parts of the world, just to put smiles on her face, on the occasion.
The program started with a Thanksgiving mass at Holy Cross Catholic Parish, Aladinma, Owerri, from where the celebration moved to home of the celebrant.
The highpoint of the occasion was the cutting of the cake, led by the husband of the celebrant, Chief Donatus Obiajunwa Ozurigbo, in company of their children, in-laws and grandchildren.
The event was graced by close family friends, allies and colleagues f the Deputy Speaker, including the Chief Whip of Imo State House of Assembly, Hon. Barr. Innocent Arthur Egwim and wife, Hon. Amb. Mrs. Uju Onwudiwe, Hon. Marcel Odunze, Hon. Lloyd Chukwuemeka, Hon. Francis Uche Agabige, Hon. Ezediaro Henry, Hon. Prince Obinna Okwara, Mr. Akogu Uzoma, Mr. Solomon Chinonso Ucheka Pasolo, Catholic Porters Association, party chieftains from Nwangele LGA, and a host of others
