The National Working Committee, NWC, of the All Progressives Congress, APC, actually cleared former governor of Abia State, Dr. Orji Uzor Kalu and Yusuf A. Haruna of Kogi state for senate primaries.
This is contained in statement signed by the Acting National Publicity Secretary of the party, Mr. Yekini Nabena and dated October 2, 2018.
This statement quells media reports earlier indicating that Kalu’s name was omitted from the list of cleared aspirants for Abia senatorial primaries.

APC NWC Clears Uzor Kalu, Yusuf Haruna for Abia, Kogi Senate Primaries
The National Working Committee (NWC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has cleared the former governor of Abia State, H.E. Dr. Uzor Kalu and Yusuf A. Haruna to contest the Party’s Senate Primaries for Abia North and Kogi Central Senatorial districts respectively.
