The people of Mbaitoli Local Government Area of Imo state yesterday Saturday, 24th November, 2018 witnessed the Mother of all Empowerment program which was facilitated by her own dear son, Prince Chimaroke Oparaugo a native of UmuduruOrie Umuomumu Mbieri Mbaitoli LGA.
Engr Chimaraoke Oparaugo is a dynamic young man and has shown great capacity in the area of creating job opportunities for youths and empowerment program.
He is the Founder of OBIWANNE FOUNDATION, CEO ROYAL BILLION HOTELS & Apartment.
The host Engr Oparaugo while fielding questions from newsmen, revealed that he has been empowering people and this particular one cuts across all the wards in Mbaitoli.
He said:
\”I am overwhelmed by the number of people who trooped out to be part of our empowerment program.
The beneficiaries would emerge through a lucky dip. It shall be done through a transparent process.
This project is my way of giving back to the community
It is not in anyway politically motivated. As am not seeking for any elective position\”
Also speaking at the event, Dr Linus Okorie, the Young Progressive Party Imo Guber candidate commended Comr Oparaugo who has shown great capacity and pledged his unalloyed support to this initiative.
He also promised to take the empowerment a step further by investing in capital development and capacity building programme. A certificate program for all the participants to ensure that they are well equipped in addition .
Distinguished personalities that graced the event were spurred to support and encourage this initiative going forward.
They include: H/E Chief Dr Ikedi Ohakim, Senator Hope Uzodinma, Hon Onyewuchi Ezenwa, Hon Henry Nwawuba, Hon Ugo Aguguam , Hon Nnaturuonye, Bar Osita Oparaugo and Royal fathers.
Over 200 beneficiaries were empowered with the following;
Hair dressing equipment
Tailoring equipments/machines
Block industry facilities
Students scholarship
Free motorcycles.
Tile Cutting machine
Wrappers
Cash Donations
