Member representing Ohaji/Egbema, Oguta and Oru West Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon Kingsley Uju, has, through Zara Uju Global Foundation, given palliative food items to his constituents to help them assuage the hard times of coronavirus pandemic.
The palliative food items were rice, noodles (indomie and tummy tummy), salt including hand sanitizers.
Giving the food items to the people on Saturday at his residents, Umuorji, Ohaji/Egbema, Uju’s Campaign Director – General, Hon Henry Igbomezie, noted that the food items are palliatives to help the people especially indigent women to cushion the effects of coronavirus pandemic in order to live strongly and happily.
Igbomezie, who said that Hon Kingsley Uju has been known for benevolence and Godliness, stated that over Thirty (30)Women of Ohaji/Egbema, Oguta
and Oru West were given grounding machines and generators to help them start or improve trading to help their families and others out of poverty.
Igbomezie added that the women who got the empowerment items were Omeudo Women and Niger Delta Women who he urged to use the items productively to beat penury.
He advised the people to always maintain thorough hygiene of regular hand washing with soup or sanitizer, keeping their environment tidy, staying at home and keeping social distance to live safely.
Also speaking, Hon Heclus Okoro who represents Ohaji/Egbema State Constituency in the Imo State House of Assembly, commended Hon Kingsley Uju for giving food items to his people, describing the gesture as special among other coronavirus pandemic palliative food items.
The beneficiaries who were filled with joy over the relief food items, appreciated Hon Kingsley Uju for the food items and the empowerment items which they said would encourage them to improve trading and productivity.
The women prayed to God to continued to sustain Hon Kingsley Uju and strengthen him to do more goodies to improve good living.
