Imo State Governor, Senator Hope Uzodimma has assured the military of the continuous collaboration with the state.
Governor Uzodimma disclosed this at the occasion of the opening Ceremony of the Regimental Sergeant majors\’ convention 2020 at Imo State Trade and Investment Center Owerri.
According to the Governor
\” Discipline, as well as law and order are highly desirable towards the achievement of peace and security in the larger society. Without these ingredients, nations could degenerate to a state where lawlessness becomes the order of the day.\”
Against this background l want to assure that my Administration will continue to actively collaborate with the Nigerian Army and indeed all other security agencies in the State to mitigate all forms of threats to security of lives and property in order to promote development of the State.
The Governor also acknowledged the sterling contributions of Headquarters 82 Division and 34 Artillery Brigade in particular to the relative peace and security currently being enjoyed in Imo State as a result of their high level of commitment in keeping Imo State secured in conjunction with other security agencies.
While reiterating his commitment to an enduring partnership and cooperation with the Nigerian Army for the maintenance of peace and security in the State.
