The Governor of Imo State, His Excellency, the Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma paid a working visit to the Imo State University (IMSU) for an on the spot inspection of the institutions facilities.
The Institution which has hitherto been bedeviled with flood challenges on annual basis, witnessed a flood free year courtesy of the desilting of Lake Nwaebere by His Excellency the Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma.
This was disclosed by the VC of the Institution, Professor Mrs. Adaobi Obasi as she commended the Governor for Desilting lake Nwaebere which addressed the erosion challenges within the state capital and expectedly, Owerri witnessed a positive impact from the work.
Facilities inspected were the Male and Female hostels and the school mall. The elated Vice Chancellor was full of gratitude to His Excellency for the desilting of Lake Nwaebere.
The Governor at the Inspection commended President Muhammadu Buhari (GCFR) through TETFUND for building the school hostels.
Senator Uzodimma assured the institution of Government commitment towards ensuring conducive learning and working environment for the students and the staff.
The governor also visited the MCC/Chukwuma Nwoha Road to ascertain the level of work going on there.
