It is a common knowledge that a woman\’s wedding day is one of the happiest day of her life.
So it was for Miss Adaugo Anyanwu on Saturday 26th December 2020 as Obowo stood still for her glorious wedding.
It was a celebration of love indeed.
Both the groom and bride\’s families were in rosy mood with beehive of activities during her Grand traditional wedding ceremony
Community Primary School Umuokeh, Obowo Imo State. The venue of the much expected traditional wedding ceremony between Emeka and Adaugo Anyanwu was a carnival of sorts.
As family, friends and well wishers were all present to witness the epoch making event.
The beautiful bride and her ashoebi came out twice as usual.
First to welcome their visitors and later the traditional search by the bride to locate and take her husband to her father for the traditional blessings to the admiration of all.
In an expression of sincere love for the beautiful Adaugo, Emeka held her hands firmly as they cut the cake to the admiration of friends and relatives.
26th December would continue to linger in the memory of guests and relatives who thronged to witness the event.
Adaugo is the daughter of Pharm Okechukwu Anyanwu former Principal Secretary to Governor Ikedi Ohakim
It therefore did not come as a surprise that the wedding pulled distinguished personalities and so much crowd to witness the glorious wedding despite the festive period and distance.
In attendance were Engr IG Uzoma Nwokorie of Shell Petroleum- the Chairman of the occasion , Hon Jonas Okeke former Deputy speaker, Hon Dcn Chike Okafor, Rt Hon (Barr) Kennedy Ibe, Justice Ihuoma Chukwunyere, Justice Ifeoma Ogwuegbu and husband Chief (Barr) Marcel Ogwuegbu

Speaking after the ceremony, the couple expressed their sincere gratitude to all those who honoured the invitation
