BIRTH AND EDUCATION

Hon. Chief Engr. Sir Innocent Ikpamezie Ikechukwu, was born on the 15th day of June, 1979 in Umuokpara Umuezike, Afara Autonomous Community, Mbaitoli LGA, Imo State.

Had his early education training at Afara central School and Afara Secondary school in Afara autonomous community, Mbaitoli LGA Imo state.

Received his tertiary education training at the prestigious Federal University of Technology Owerri where he obtained his Bachelor and Masters (B.Eng and M.Eng) both in Mechanical Engineering.

EARLY AGE LEADERSHIP QUALITIES

He was the senior prefect Afara Secondary School 1997

President of National Association of Mbaitoli Students (NAMS), FUTO Chapter 2001-2002

Functioned as the Director of Welfare, Students’ Union Government (SUG)

WORK EXPERIENCE

Hon. Engr.Sir Innocent Ikechukwu Ikpamezie’s humility, dedication and perseverance has merited him good positions.

Maintenance Trainee Officer at the industrial development Center (IDC) – 2001

Assistant Maintenance officer at JOS-CEJIN engineering (2002-2004)

Executive Assistant to the Vice-chairman, Mbaitoli LGA 2006-2007

Personal Assistant to the ever competent and ever performing former Vice Chancellor of the Federal University of Technology Owerri. (Late Prof. Celestine Onyemaobi Elihe Onwuliri) 2008-2011

Special Adviser to Senator Hope Uzodimma, Senator Representing Imo West Senatorial Dsitrict 2015-2019

Special Adviser to the Governor of Imo State, Senator Hope Uzodimma / General Manager Owerri Capital Development Authority ( OCDA BOSS) 2020

COMMUNITY SERVICE / DEVELOPMENT

Engr. Innocent Ikpamezie has rendered a lot of selfless services towards the development of his immediate community:

Facilitated the adoption of the bulk billing system for Afara Community and also Facilitated the procurement of a brand new 500kva transformer mounted at Orie-Owerre Afara.

Sponsored the mass wedding of 10 couples who had financial hindrances.

Provided Palliatives for indigent women and Children of Afara community.

Flagged of the first phase of the “Ikpa Empowerment Program” by doling out brand new motorcycles to the youths of Afara community.

AWARDS

Hon. Chief Engr. Sir Innocent Ikpamezie Ikechukwu,  has a museum of Awards, here are some of the awards received

Award of excellence as “Ezi Enyi Ndi Mbaise” by Federation of Mbaise Students FUTO

Award of Excellence as “Beacon of Democratic Hope” by Entire Ikeduru Youths

Award of Merit as “Best Mbaitoli Students Pioneer” by the National Association of Mbaitoli Students (NAMS) FUTO.

Award of Honour as “Friend” by the Catholic Youth Organisation of Nigeria, St Paul’s Catholic Parish, Odumara-orodo

Award of Honour as “Pride of the Order” by Knights of St. John International and Ladies Auxiliary

Award of Honour “in recognition of Outstanding Contributions and Selfless Services” by the Catholic Youth Organisation of Holy Cross Catholic Church Aladimma

The Prestigious “ Nigeria Public Sector Leadership and Productivity Award” by the National Productivity Centre, Abuja.

And other awards, certificates and prizes for personal excellence, innovative creativity, sterling leadership ability, community services and national development.

In recognition of his selfless service and contribution to the development of his dear community, Hon. Engr. Innocent Ipamezie was decorated on December 29, 2017 with a chieftaincy title of “Nwachinemere II of Afara” by His Royal Highness, Eze M.N. Ogu Eze Udo II of Afara. He is also recognized in his community as “Ezi Nwa”.

On the 25th day of November 2020, he was also conferred another chieftaincy tittle as a traditional ruler of Omuma Kingdom by HRM Eze Philip O. Uzodimma, Ononenyi of Ozu-Omuma, Igwe of Oru Clan as Nwachinemere I of Ozu-Omuma.

American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)

Hon. ENGR. Innocent Ikpamezie Ikechukwu is a global Scholar, lover of youths and a philanthropist. He is happily married to his amiable wife, Lolo Linda Chidinma Ikpamezie. The union is blessed with three amazing girls, and two charming boys.

The success of Engr. Innocent Ikpamezie has not come by accident, rather, they are the resultant effect of sincere efforts, dedication, intelligent  initiatives and direction adorned with skilful execution and his gift to spot opportunities where others see obstacles.
