One of the leading Non Governmental Organisation, under the ageis of Arise Africa Network  organised a timely workshop/seminar on talents discovery and entrepreneurship development for the  Students of Methodist High School, Ikenegbu, Owerri.

Speaking with news men, the Founder/ CEO of Arise Africa Group, Mr Ikechukwu Anyanwu said; \”Arise Africa Network is passionate about educating, equipping and empowering young minds for the future

We are committed to promoting potentials through education, free skill acquisition and empowerment\”

\”We believe strongly in catching them young,  talents discovery and entrepreneurship development  so they can be able to make good career choices in life and impact positively to any society they found themselves\”

Professionals from different walks of life were drawn to speak to the students

Sustainablity Leadership Coach, Anthony Akalugo spoke on Entrepreneurship.

Dr Ken Obiakor, spoke elaborately on life issues and education generally. He stated that education is self-motivational, according to Dr Obiakor ; \”We have built in the students what we expect them to go inside with, reproduce and bring back. We have also introduced the students to skills that are capable of sustaining them.

Miss Innocent Saving-Grace Miracle, a teen coach, during her lecturer on how to  talent discovery, stated that ; \”talent is an inborn ability that makes an individual different. 

According to Miss Miracle, \” Talent is the ability in the individual that adds value to him and to the people around him, she added that self awareness and studying the scriptures are reliable means of talent discovery.

Talent should not be left on its own, it should be identified and developed, talent can be found in every student.

Some of the beneficiaries who spoke to Arise Africa Magazine,  Nwosu Erica Ogechukwu expressed her profound joy for participating in the seminar, in her words ; \”thanks to Arise Africa, its was a very good seminar, I enjoyed my time, I have been trained on talents discovery, decision making, also to be careful with whom I choose as my role model, those I choose as friends and that whatever am going to study in the higher institution, should be inline with my talent, so I can make a difference in the larger society.

Best Okoro Berechi told Arise Africa Magazine Correspondence that, the knowledge of entrepreneurship he have gathered at the seminar have given him the opportunity of having multiple innovative abilities for business and wealth creation, and that he can\’t wait to be an entrepreneur, having participated in the seminar.

The Principal of the School, Reverend Samson Ndukagbo elaborated on the aims of the program. In his words ; \”the seminar on talent discovery and entrepreneurship development for the final year pupils of our school is aimed at preparing and equipping them to face and conquer the challenges the world has to offer after leaving here.

On the capacity building of the students carried out by Arise Africa, the Principal said, ; \”Am very impressed by Arise Africa Team, they are superb, apt and wonderful, all their presentations in this seminar are very timely.

Reverend Samson expressed joy that the students were at home with the trainings, according to him ;

\”From the facial and body expressions of the students, you can see that have learnt a lot from these trainings here today, hence it will help them immensely in their further lives out there in the larger society.

Reverend Ndukagbo admonished the participants that the knowledge they have acquired today should be multiplied by acquiring a skill that will help them even as they are pursuing their further studies in the higher institution, a skill can see them through.

High points of the program was the exposition of various talents by the students, ranging from ; singing, acting, comedy show e.t.c. anchored by Mr Anyanwu

It was also a time to encourage learning in the school as Gift Items of Exercise Books, Pen and Sanitary Pads given to the students Courtesy of Face of Arise Africa & Every Girl\’s Movement
