Ibiom is the story of war and love which borders on the survival and existence of three kingdoms centered within and around cross river. The kingdom of Obong Okon Ita and his Ibibio people had lived

in relative peace despite wars between neighboring kingdoms which made life uncertain for the Ibibios.

The Akanu Amanagwu and the Utughugwu led by Mazi Agu Inobia and the great medicine man Nnachi

Ipia both from the north and north-east the Aros from across the river desperately itching for war in a

bid to dominate this populous Ibibio kingdom. The harmony which existed among the Ibibio people is

now threatened and on a verge of collapse. Will they go to war? Will they succumb to the pressure of

the other clans that make up the Ibibio people such as the Annangs, Effiks, Ekids, Ebeno who are in

favour of war as well as the people of Oron fighting for the return of their children enslaved by the Aros

who often unexpectedly stormed their lands and carted away their people and produce. But love brings

a twist of fate that could forever change the course of history. The daughter of Obong Okon Ita, Princess

Aniema, meets Prince Efechukwude of Aro at a stream in Annang and the bonds of love blossomed in

secret. The muse set between this duo by fate is off a rocky start as the drums of war fanned by the

Arochukwu people are set to throw a cog into the wheel of love. Will love conquer and unite the people

or will the drums finally sound and the people\’s clamour for war come to fruition? “IBIOM” the eagles

are set to soar. Would it seal their fate bound in love or will the lovers be at war drummed by the

Fathers? The stage is set for a conflict as old as time. Love or War?
