Did Current Minister of Finance Sadiya Usman grow the rank and file? What crime did Kemi Adeosun commit to deserve being sacked or was she not competent enough?

Did Col Hameed Ali (Rtd), DG Customs grow through the rank and files. Was he even an ex Customs Officer?

Is the recently appointed Chief of Army staff the most senior military officer? If no, why was he selected ahead of General Acholonu & many other southern Military officers who are his seniors?

Did Hadiza Bala Usman, current DG of NPA rise through the rank and file?

What happened to Justice Onoghen after he \’mistakenly\’ managed to grow through the rank and file to become CJN?

Who replaced Babajide Fowler of FIRS when his appointment could have been renewed?

Did Mela Kyari, GMD of NNPC grow through the rank and file?

Did Danladi Umar of CCT rise through the rank and file?

Did Abdularasheed Bawa of EFCC grow through the rank and file?

Did Buhari\’s Chief of Staff Gambari grow through the rank and file

Did SGF Boss Mustapha grow through the rank and file?

It is only when it comes to the Igbos that Buhari will remember that they need to grow through rank and file.

If academic excellence, stellar performance, fair play and sheer merit was the single criteria for recruitment and promotion into the Nigerian Civil service, MDAs and Security forces, will the North ever beat the South to deserve the positions and number of appointments they are getting now? If you want an answer, you just need to look at the composition of Nigeria\’s Super Eagle team where merit and performance is the only yardstick.

In short, can you even grow through the rank and file when there\’s a deliberate policy to make sure you were never recruited in the first instance?
