SCORECARD OF RT. HON. KENNEDY IBEH, SPEAKER, IMO STATE HOUSE Of ASSEMBLY

As Imo State House of Assembly (IMHA), resumes plenary on 16th, February 2022, I wish to again, highlight some of the achievements of Mr Speaker, Rt. Hon. Barr. Kennedy Chidozie Ibeh, for the reading pleasure of the public.
EMPOWERMENT
> Donation of ten brand new motorcycles to 10 disabled Obowo sons, for commercial purposes.
> Provision of non-refundable funding support for 30 market women in Obowo through a transparent balloting.
> Establishment of Artisan support scheme that has empowered 200 Artisans in Obowo.
> Donation of 10 grinding machines to Obowo women, for small scale businesses.
> Aided Obasi Emmanuel Nnaemeka who studied Business Management, to secure a job with Federal Fire Service.
> Okechukwu Ahamba from Ehume Obowo (Eastern Obowo) was equally aided to secure a good job at Federal Fire Service.
> Ifeanyi Chukwudi Anoruo, from Alike Obowo (Western Obowo), was aided to study Microbiology in the University.
> Mr. Uche Mgborogwu from Umuokeh Obowo (Central Obowo) was aided to get a job with Imo Civil Service .
> Onuegbu Chigozie from Ehume Obowo (Eastern Obowo) working in Imo State Civil Service.
INFRASTRUCTURE:
> Rehabilitation of Umuogele water scheme.
> Construction of an overhead tank & sinking of Pipe Borehole for Ekeja Ehume Market, Ehume Obowo.
> Reconstruction & rehabilitation of Okwuohia secondary school WAEC hall.
> Construction of an ultra modern lavatory at Ekeja Ehume Obowo.
> Construction of 50 Seater capacity Solar powered ICT centre at Obowo Council Headquarters.
> Reconstruction of the road networks & construction of solid drainage ways for erosion control, at Onuimo Malaysia market, Umungwa Obowo.
> Construction of 14 markets stalls at Orie Mgbóma Alike Obowo.
> Provision of 300KVA transformer to Umunwada Amuzi Obowo.
> Contributed to the procurement of brand new transformer for Umulogho Community.
> Setting up of the first ever fully equipped & functional Constituency Office at Ogwoghoroanya Umuariam Obowo, being a positive & fruitful link between Ndi Obowo & Imo House of Assembly.
> Construction of fully furnished 2 bedroom bungalow for a woman (Widow) with 5 children, at Mgbóma Alike Obowo.
> Rehabilitation of Umuikpelewe Ndiuhu Amuzi pipe-bore-hole water scheme.
> Reconstruction of Umuebubem Ndiuhu Amuzi Civic hall.
> Construction of Umuokoro Umuariam overhead tank, plus sinking of Pipe Borehole water.
*EMPLOYMENT & EDUCATION:*
Construction of the only state-of-the art fully equipped JAMB CBT centre in Obowo that attracts students from other local government areas.
> Employment & payrolling of over 50 Obowo sons & daughters.
> Sponsorship of bills for Educational benefits, major (medical) surgeries & other undertakings.
> Employment of Iyke Onwumere from Alike (Western Obowo) at OCDA Owerri.
> Facilitation of employment of Obowo sons & daughters in both State & Federal civil Services.
> Purchase of forms for 20 Obowo sons & daughters in furtherance of their academic pursuits.
> Sponsorship of free JAMB registration for 50 Obowo sons and daughters, carefully drawn from all the Autonomous Communities in in Obowo.
> Facilitation & Sponsorship of not less than 7 Obowo sons & daughters to different countries of the world, in search of greener pasture.
> Adoption & academic Sponsorship of Obowo sons.
> Annual bursary provision for Obowo students in Nigerian Law schools.
> Continued facilitation of countless Obowo sons & daughters in tertiary institutions.
> Provision of Motorcycles to some Obowo female Leaders (not for commercial use).
> Bail out of numerous Patients in all the hospitals in Obowo, which has been going on annually, for close to a decade now.
> Distribution of poverty alleviation items & lucre for indigent people in Obowo.
*Bills and Motions*
Rt. Hon. Kennedy Ibeh has sponsored so many life changing bills and Motions, but for the reason of space, only few will be mentioned.
1. Chiefly sponsored the Fiscal Responsibility Bill. This bill seeks to ensure prudent and transparent management of state resources.
2. A bill for a law for the establishment of Bureau for Defence of the Defenceless and Conflict Resolution
3. Imo Industrial Guide law.
4. A bill for a law for the establishment of Information Communication Technology Centre.
5. Motion to place Obowo State Constituency on the list of ecologically challenged LGAs. This paves way for access to fund for the fight against ecological challenge.
I decided to serve you with some of the bills, motions and achievements of Mr. Speaker while the details will follow, later.
We can only encourage him to do more by lending unfliching supports to the *Rt. Hon. Speaker* and wish him welll in all his endeavour.
