Rt Hon Barr Kennedy Ibeh, Member Representing Obowo State Constituency IMHA thanks the good people of Obowo and Governor Hope Uzodimma on his Inauguration as Third term member. Speaking on his social media handle, the ranking member said;
I heartily thank my people of Obowo Local Government for this unprecedented trust bestowed on me to represent our dear Obowo State Constituency for a record third term.
The experience I have attained so far shows that there is so much gain available to Constituencies with Ranking members. I have strong hope that Almighty God will help me to reap the gains of this noble investment for the advancement of our dear Constituency.
The immediate past general election that paved way for this outstanding record was tough and tortious given its jinx-breaking character. As it is usual with good things, they don’t come easy, but I assure you that we got it right. By the grace of Almighty God, it shall be a fruitful outing for Obowo.
The 10th Assembly of Imo State has started counting, it is not time for Obowo to distract herself with any form of obstacle but it is a time to contribute positive ideas that can move us forward. Each time and resource deployed to derail me is a time and resource wasted that could solve one infrastructural challenge or the other in the LGA. Let’s not become enemies of ourselves rather let’s be mindful to build.
While appreciating God and all the human vessels God used to make this glorious outing possible, I must single out Most Distinguished Sen. Hope Uzodinma, the performing Governor of Imo State for his support and assurances of continued support.
Imo has a brand new Speaker, Rt. Hon. Chike Olemgbe, my brother from a section of the old Etiti LGA, Ihitte/Uboma, who though a first timer has emerged as Speaker by providence. I rejoice with him and his family while assuring Imo State that I shall deploy the wealth of experience I have garnered over the years to support him to success. To do otherwise will mean to mock God, God forbid! I am super grateful.
I pray fervently that the 10th Assembly is more positively eventful, exciting, and rewarding than the 9th Assembly.
May God Almighty bless Obowo LGA and bless all who bless her sons and daughters.
