As the second female Rector in the polytechnic’s history, Dr. Igbokwe expressed her deep appreciation to the people of Nekede for their longstanding support and peaceful coexistence with the institution. She assured them of her commitment to fostering a productive partnership with all community stakeholders to ensure the institution’s growth and success.

Dr. Igbokwe emphasized that the purpose of her visit was to unite the Polytechnic and the local community under a common goal, aimed at driving her administration’s vision of progress. She commended the Traditional Ruler of Nekede, Eze Dr. S.K. Agumanu, for his exemplary leadership and dedication to nurturing a harmonious relationship between the school and the community.

“As the newly appointed Rector, my team and I are here to officially pay homage and seek a stronger working relationship with the Nekede Ancient Kingdom. We look forward to a peaceful and collaborative partnership, where we can share ideas to elevate the institution to greater heights,” Dr. Igbokwe stated.

In response, Eze Agumanu, the 4th Eze of Nekede Ancient Kingdom, expressed his gratitude to God for Dr. Igbokwe’s appointment as the 9th substantive Rector of the Federal Polytechnic Nekede. He praised her for her inclusive leadership style and commitment to innovation, offering prayers for her success throughout her tenure.

“This position is a divine blessing, and God will see you through it. You will achieve great things during your time as Rector,” Eze Agumanu said in his prayers.
