The Women of Honor Association (WOH), led by HRM Queen Dr. Shirley Okwudinma, recently made history with an unprecedented act of charity during their inaugural outreach program.

On December 7, 2025,  over 1,000 individuals gathered at the Odenigbo Pavilion Assumpta Catholic Church, where they received essential items such as rice, tomatoes, oil, and salt.

HRM Queen Dr. Shirley Okwudinma’s inspiring speech emphasized WOH’s commitment to making a positive impact in their communities, one act of kindness at a time. “We are not just individuals, but a force—a force of women united, reshaping the narrative of womanhood and embracing communal sisterhood,” she declared.

WOH’s mission is built on unity, empowerment, and support. Since its inception on May 22nd, 2024, the association has celebrated milestones, offered solace, and lifted each other. Dr. Okwudinma highlighted their perseverance despite the loss of their patron, Ahaejiagamba Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu, and their dedication to creating a lasting impact.

The association’s outreach program is just the beginning of their efforts to drive positive change. By providing essential supplies and encouragement, WOH aims to empower individuals and families affected by the current economic situation.

As Dr. Okwudinma concluded, “We are not just a group of women; we are a movement, a catalyst for change. Let us go forth with courage, compassion, and a commitment to service.”

WOH’s commitment to philanthropy aligns with the growing influence of women in charitable giving.¹ Women-led organizations like WOH are reshaping the philanthropic landscape, addressing unique challenges and fostering community well-being.
