The burial ceremony of the late Ugoeze Marcelina Igboamucha Ogwuegbu (Nee Anyanwu), Monday 29th December 2025 was turned into a carnival as all facets of life endeavour were represented in different quantum
It was a celebration of life well lived as distinguished personalities, dignitaries from across the nation dominated the scene. The burial had all the political bigwigs present; Rt Hon Deacon Chike Okafor PhD, Rt Hon Barr Kennedy Ibeh , IG Adol , Hon Hon Magnus Okeke , Hon Ifeanyi Onwuiyiagwa, Prof & Barr Lilian Okeke , Chief Emeka Anyanwu and wife and other notable guests
The burial service was held at St Theresa’s Catholic parish and paraded a large number of priests, unprecedented crowd of sympathizers who thronged to bid Late Ugoeze Marcelina Igboamucha (Nee Anyanwu) a final goodbye.
The mortal remains of our matriarch were consigned to eternal rest, marking the inevitable culmination of a life well-lived.
The somber occasion, however, was transformed into a triumphal celebration of life, as an unprecedented crowd gathered to pay homage to a unique and virtuous woman of unwavering faith and boundless compassion.
Pharm Okey Anyanwu led a delegation of the family of late E.D.S Anyanwu of Umuokeh Okenalogho in Obowo LGA, Imo State who came in their numbers to mourn the demise of their beloved Auntie.
Speaking on behalf of the family, Bar Marcel Ogwuegbu sincerely thanks family, friends and all sympathizers who found time to be here to pay last respect to our beloved sister, auntie , Mother, Grand Mother and Great Grand Mother
