MEN BEING IN ALIGNMENT WITH GOD BECAUSE OF THEIR RESPONSIBILITES AS MINISTERS, HUSBANDS, FATHERS-

MEN BEING IN ALIGNMENT WITH GOD BECAUSE OF THEIR RESPONSIBILITIES AS MINISTERS, HUSBANDS, FATHERS- Victor Nwaorgu

As a prelude into a proper exposition of the above subject, it has become imperative to know what the topic really signifies, to be in alignment with God in essence means maintaining the same balance with his spirit. Alignment has to do with one’s connection with God.  It goes beyond one’s behavior.

The almighty cares so much about it, he wants us his children to be in alignment with his will once we are united with the lord, we will adhere to all his instruction even when he requests from us to do the impossible.
When we realize our spiritual alignment, it will enlarge our life and multiply our effectiveness because it will take away from us all sense of doubt, feelings of inability to buffet the storms of life it will give us a new meaning of living.  Life will take on a whole new meaning, when we live in constant realization of our alignment with the lord.  The nearer we are to the lord the greater our strength.  There is no true success in ministry not until we connect with the most high, When we fail in aligning ourselves with the lord we will not be able to do anything.
Having  been saved  by grace , we are his chosen ones , we live by  the aid  of  the holy spirit, by faith .we  should seek  Gods  guidance and direction through his word   to perform well in the  various ministries where the lord has called us.  He has appointed teachers, preachers, prophets, singers, and evangelists. Without this connection, we simply drift away from God’s plan and purpose for us in life.

Many a time, we have all been guilty of being overly confident in our own abilities.  Our insensitivity  at  some points  overinflate  our  sense  of self – assurance  thus creating  a bridge  in  the flow of communication. We no longer seek to hear from God before any decision. In other cases many of us start in the right way, always seeking the guidance of the lord, but as we begin to develop a level of  comfort  that  the lord  is with us  we start  paying  less   attention  to  the guidance  of the  lord . we must  always  remember  who  it is  that  is  strong and mighty  –He  who makes  us  mighty , and seek his acknowledgement  always.

Every  married  man has  some specific  responsibilities to play in the life  of  his wife .remember , marriage is an institution  created  by God and  he  sets his rules. A man is to love his wife, when the scripture talks about love; it talks about sacrifice that you make for the betterment of someone else.

You can only measure love by your level of sacrifice and not by your satisfaction.  To say that a man loves his wife is to talk about the sacrifice that he makes for her. “Husbands love your wives even as also Christ loved the assembly and gave up himself for it”. (Ephesians 5: 25). To talk about love is to talk about a cross. To talk about love is to talk about a savior.  We have a savior in Christ and our wives ought to have a savior in us. We have a deliverer in Christ and our mates ought to have a deliverer in us.   When you talk of loving your wife, you talk about carrying a cross.  Jesus Christ did not die for us because we are loveable, Jesus died to make us loveable.

A man does not love his wife because she deserves to be loved; a man loves his wife in order to change her into someone loveable.   The scripture talked about Jacob s love for Rachel, so much that he worked for fourteen years in order to gain permission to marry her from her father (Genesis 29).  It is a hard price to pay, but a price of true love.  “But God commanded his love to us, that while we where yet sinners, Christ died for us”. (Romans 5:8).   Guess what?  If you love your wife you have to sanctify her, you are to take her from the level where she is to the level where you want her to be.

When she shows you her problem, you are to fix it.  You are the god of your home, what Jesus is to the church, you are to be to your wife.   Husbands should love their wives as their own bodies. Christ gave himself to his church. Just as the man works out to make his body look good, he is to work his wife out to look good as well. Make sure that she is strong, fulfilled, provided for and satisfied. The father is the head of the home. The home is where the physical, emotional and spiritual grace of a child is nurtured.

A father who is aligned with God has the ability to call forth the grace of God through Love, care, provision, guidance and advice.  A godly Father upholds the spiritual alter of the family, He sharpens and guides the child towards reaching the vision and purpose of his existence.    And now words to you parents don’t keep on scolding and nagging your children making them angry and resentful rather bring them up with the loving discipline the lord himself approves with suggestion and godly advice. (Eph 6:4).

The greatest gift a father can give to the child is love. Just like God our heavenly father loves us his children. A child who has the conviction  that he has a father  who loves  him will always  put  his trust in his father simply put , when affection is shown to a child it brings out the best in the child, the child will have the consciousness that he has  a shoulder  to cry and lean on , he has someone he can call a friend  who  he can  tell his fears , share his vision and aspirations with and also confide in.   Sure the rod of correction should not be spared but a father should also correct in love.

God is a merciful father who will always chastise and correct us in love whenever we go astray.  “If a child asks his father for bread, will he be given a stone? If he asks for dish will he be given snake?  Of course not! And if you men know how to give good gift to your children, won’t your heavenly father even more certainly give good gifts to those who ask him for them.” (Matthew 7:9-11).

Just like God, the primary function of a father is to provide for his children s need, Needs vary according to stages the need of your child when he is an infant may not be the same as when he is an adult. It can be physical, emotional, or a spiritual need.

A father should brace up to this task. The children are precious gifts which the lord has entrusted in your custody.  As a father you are to provide and take care of their everyday needs because surely as caretakers, one day we will stand to give account on how well we have been able to bring up these children in the fear of God.

on 26th of November  2016 in Owerri Nigeria, a  public lecture would be held as Arise Afrka Magazine is unveiled to the general public. A civic gathering that will feature technocrats, educationist, captains of industries, civil society leaders , opinion molders and the general society in a discussion that will elaborate on the need of inculcating self-sustaining ability, positivism in our daily activity as ways of strengthening  Nigeria\’s future will be taking place.

The pivotal South Eastern States of Imo and Anambra turned 40  in February  this year and thus presented an ample opportunity for Imo @ 40 commemorative lecture in Imo organized by Nigerian Eye Newspapers and Gcfn pulishers of Arise Afrka .  which reflected on what the future holds for Nigeria as a united nation regardless of its  regional tensions, like Boko Haram in the Northeast, Niger -delta militancy in the south-south and Biafra agitations in the south east.
Details of the lecture on the theme: Analyzing the future of south east sociopolitical persuasion in todays Nigeria; the way forward will be on Arise Afrika Magazine amongst other interesting topical issues, interviews  and profiles of top personalities would also be featured.
The 2015 elections that brought a change in government, increased the positive surge in political consciousness of usually non-partisan youths and adult and must be effectively taken advantage of in propagating civic education in the populace and all the lectures presented an ample opportunity for soul search and reflections on the issues limiting the south east socio-political development and stratagems to conquer salutation of mediocrity in the zone.
The south east was chosen for discussion because of the occasional volatile demonstration and agitation for a sovereign state that has led to the loss of precious lives and huge economic losses and the organisers  in living to their promise to the people are using the  outcome of the lectures and discussion to analyze the situation, educate and inform its people especially the youth on the right direction to take as more demonstrations are expected in the near future.
50  youths selected from  tertiary institutions in the  five south eastern states will be present at the Unveiling ceremony  to state their various positions on the present situation and sentiments that shape their views for or against it as our discussants will brainstorm and offer guidelines on how to surmount challenges that arises from such situations
The team of organizers putting the event together is counting on participation of their chosen professionals with indelible records, who are also recognized voices with  deep  intellectual capacity and record that commands  inter- tribal follower ship of Nigerians as a pedestal to help drive the point home.

UNVEILING OF ARISE AFRIKA MAGAZINE

ARISE AFRIKA  WILL RAISE THE BEAUTIFUL CONTINENT OF AFRICA ONE INFORMATION AT A TIME – Ik Anyanwu
08037512288
An  Illustrious son of Okigwe Zone  Ikechukwu Anyanwu….the publisher  of Arise Afrika Magazine has spoken volume of the capacity of  Arise Afrika in raising the beautiful continent of Africa one information at a time,
“We are beginning from our community, beloved Imo State and our nation. blazing a trail in the area of news update, leadership blogging,  reshape our society, recreate our ethical, cultural values.

As the race to occupy the Douglas house come 2019, we would play an active role to ensure that the people are well informed so as to make the right decisions.
At this time of economic recession, our people really want to be liberated from the untold hardships, hunger and sufferings and shackle of gimmicks which is characterized by self seeking and self enriching politicians who makes lots of promises to the people to gain their vote and only abandoned them.
He spoke about the Rescue Mission Government and gave the government some kudos, although more needs to be done for the people. He explained the word RESCUE to simply mean “the act of assisting to make sure that a person or situation is saved from a great danger. More especially when life is involved. Another word related to this word Rescue, this time around, the word redeem is more spiritual and often used by people or the most desired and admired aspect of being rescued or saved in the present situation. The person or situation seems more palatable and reassuring; this time around the person has a long lasting feeling of freedom and deliverance.
The Executive Governor of Imo State, HE Owelle Rochas Okorocha OON has really played a vital role as the driver of the Rescue mission in Imo State Government. For the record of truthfulness, the Imo situation before 2011 Election, necessitated the call for the Rescue mission and that was the expectation of Imo people based on the Prevailing circumstances in Imo state due to the dislike of Imo people, on the behaviour of the pilot of the Clean and Green Government of H.E. Ikedi Ohakim, that Govt, seemed not accepted by the people as that Ohakim lost the  integrity  and the cooperate Sanity of the Social Contract and respect for governed or Citizenry. Imo people came out, that gave birth to Rescue Mission .
We will simply  submit that Okorocha’s Rescue Government has recorded huge success and has made wonderful impart in the Annals of Imo State Politics based on innovation, infrastructural development, youth encouragement and empowerment more especially on free Education, functional city and raising the living standard of Imo People.
Government alone can not deliver on this mandate of transforming the state, their has to be a collaborative support from the citizenry.       Therefore,  Arise Afrika has been making serious statements in this regards.

And that has actually been an encouraging factor and as a guide.  And there is a positive act of understanding of the job and the people you are working with.
I can tell you the people working with me are dedicated and committed to the cause of this job.  We are doing our best to work with the Govt of Imo State in the bide to transform and reform the dilapidated building we meet when we came on board in the year 2011.  I tell you so far, so good we have done so much but I will not rate myself, It’s left for the public to do so.
3. In the pull chat that was conducted prior to the Imo @ 40 events, we had people who have given His Excellency Rochas Okorocha and Rescue Government mission   a very high pass mark. What is it like working with this man HERO?
Working with His Excellency has been quite a wonderful experience. You must be ready to have yourself revitalized, transformed and reformed working with HE.
Also you must brace up for challenges. He is somebody if you are not ready to give result, you better count yourself out from the system. How often and how prompt you are in making results is also of utmost important. His Excellency is someone whom if you are not ready to get results, you would not be able to cope.
If you are somebody that is naïve in getting results, I tell you that you will not be able to cope with the speed of this great man, each time you spend with this wonderful man, you will learn new things. You must continue learning, you must be ready and open yourselves. Irrespective of the environment, you found yourself, you must always learn from His Excellency. Be able to meet up with his standards. You must continue learning as far as His Excellency is concerned. He is so much endowed with knowledge, experience and activities and you would be able to learn a lot from him.  You will agree with me, there is no sector that His Excellency has not been able to transform. You will feel the presence of this Govt so established everywhere and lives of the people are touched positively.
Q 3: Some people have doubted the ability of Imo State Government to finish up the projects that has already began. What is your stake on this?
If you are in the system you will understand the realm, the work ability and how things work. And what the Government has been able to put in place.
For us we have a “bar chart” what the program is all about and what has been put in place and what is needed and the periods within which these things would be done.
By May 2018, you will not see any project that would not be completed.  Like the Hospitals now, there is a call off system that the Governor has introduced. By January to May next year you will not see any General Hospital that is still ongoing. We will have all of them completed.
When you look at our Roads, we are on expansions of roads so as to contain 4- 6 dual carriage ways because of inflows of traffic of people coming into the state. All these would be completed soonest. What we are waiting for is for the rains to subside. The moment rains sets in, you will see contractors go back to complete the roads. There is no project that we would not be able to complete. We are definitely moving with an accelerated speed in order to achieve this through the visionary leadership of His Excellency Anayo Rochas Okorocha.
Q 4: How does the govt intend to go about using Agriculture to revamp the economy?
Well, we are seriously into multi diversification of the economy. Which we are presently doing and Agriculture is the key. Presently, If you look you will observe that we are hosting all the  774 Local Government of the Federation LOGA IMO Trade Fair 2016 . Because of our consciousness, out of our zeal to succeed and make progress in Agriculture, that informed the entire country to choose Imo State to host the trade fair.
His Excellency has approved 20 Million to establish Agricultural Farms in every Local Govt Area in Imo State. That can tell you how serious the Govt is in diversification of economy and the great attention the Imo State Government is paying to diversifying the economy with special emphasis to Agriculture.
Before the recession,  His Excellency started the “ikula nkwu” One thing about our amiable Governor is that he has a great fore sight . Today we are talking about the need for agriculture but as a visionary leader that he is, he has seen our over reliance on oil will be the bane of this country and has pointed Agriculture as a way forward.
He has created enabling environment for business to also flourish, he has boosted tourism, infrastructural development, educating and transforming the thinking of our people.
5. Without being maudlin, how do you want to be remembered?
At the end of the sojourn, I will like to leave results.  That is only how one can be remembered. Changing the negatives to positives.  I would like to leave lasting legacies that would stand the test of time. Making a hallmark.  Establishing a system different from what you met and create some indelible marks within the systems that would touch and create impact on great number of people. Many people are looking up to the Ministry. And you can agree with me that this Government has done a great deal in Market development, Industrialization, and in terms of encouraging our people to go into Agro based /cottage industry. We have done such much in terms of the above AND looking back we will b remembered for the above.
6. LASTLY WHAT IS YOUR ADVICE TO THE YOUTHS? HOW DO THEY KEY IN TO THE PLANS AND VISION OF THE GOVERNMENT.
On assumption of this second term HE declared this period /year for the youths. And we have done so much in recognizing the youths especially in Imo State. There is no political ward in all the LGA that we would not have 5 millionaires emerging in the next one month. This we have been able to identify and we are giving this youths 1 million naira each to help establish them. The Governor is encouraging the youths to go into Agro based cottage industries and establish what will make our youths to be self employed and stop looking for white collar jobs. This Government has done so much to encourage the youths, to impact on them positively, give the youths a sense of belonging and responsibility. You can see youths now synergizing, talking to each other, interfacing within themselves in one issue or the other. Without any segregations. They have seen themselves as youths of equality. That is what we have done so far in integrating the youths.
And let me commend you for Imo AT 40 Lecture for that singular act you did to promote the state Government without any collaborative assistance/support, yet  you and your team were able to come out wonderful well to promote the state Government at that level.
Let me congratulate you for your initiatives and impacts you are making among the youths and steering them away from negative influences.

MOMENT OF DISCOVERY

WANTING WHAT YOU HAVE  by Pastor Edwin Biayeibo

\”It\’s easy to cry when you realize that everyone you love will reject you or die.\” – Chuck Palahniuk
The story was told of a young preacher who was rejected by the other associate ministers of the Church he attended. They said very little to him and would often talk behind his back. One day he went to the pastor and expressed his intentions of leaving the Church and seeking membership elsewhere because he was deeply affected by the rejection he received. He said to the pastor,
\”I don\’t know what I\’ve done to make these fellows dislike me so much\” he said. \”I really want to be a part of their fellowship and I\’ve done everything I possibly could to be a friend to them, but for some reason they keep on rejecting me.\” The pastor was a wise and seasoned man of God and he said to the young preacher, \”Why don\’t you look out the window for a moment and tell me what you see.\”

The young preacher said, \”I see two trees. I see a china-berry tree and a pecan tree.\” The pastor said, \”Look a little harder and tell me what you see.\” The young preacher said, \”Well, I see a lot of sticks and rocks around the pecan tree, but it is very clean around the china-berry tree. There\’s nothing but green grass around the china-berry, as a matter of fact.\”The pastor said, \”Then that\’s your answer. The reason why you don\’t see sticks and stones around the china-berry tree is because that tree doesn\’t have anything that people want. But it\’s different with the pecan tree. People throw things at it because they want what it has.\” If you have the favor of God and an anointing, it is quite possible that people will throw some things at you that you really don\’t want.

Ways to handle rejection;
1. Learn to listen to rejection carefully. It\’s important to pay attention to the reason for the rejection. It will tell if you have another chance or not. If you apply for a job and the Director says “Not now”, try asking a follow up question to understand why you are being rejected. Lack of proper understanding gives us a false feeling of rejection sometimes.
2. Show yourself kindness. Being rejected is one of the worst things that can happen to any man. It can be very frustrating to put yourself out there for any reason and then, be told “NO.” Try to be kind to yourself after getting rejected in some way. Engage in positive self talk and encourage yourself for the future.
Beloved, we have to be dynamically oriented to be able to effectively deal with the issue of rejection, we can chose to accept, reject or explain away other people\’s rejection of us. Have a great Sunday ahead!
WISDOM NUGGET: Colossians 4:5
\”Be wise in the way you act toward outsiders; make the most of every opportunity.\”
Let us pray: Father, teach me how to handle rejection, both perceived and actual in Jesus name.
