Jubilation thrilled some residents of Owerri the Capital City of Imo State as so many reasonable and well-meaning persons in the state bagged various awards by the organizers of Arise Africa Achievers Award 2020 Edition.
In line with the vision of the Media outfit to celebrate excellence in Africa and honour distinguished personalities, the Publisher of Arise Africa Magazine, Ikechukwu Anyanwu on last Sat. July 25th honoured some imolites from all walks of life for their various contributions towards the growth and development of the state and mankind.
Those who received awards includes; Gov Hope Uzodinma, ably represented by his Special Adviser on Youth Affairs in Imo State, Hon Comr. Eric Uwakwe who was also honoured with Proactive Youth leader Award.

Responding to their Awards, Ugwumba Uche Nwosu through his DG, Chief Chidi Ibeh thanked the organizers of the award ceremony for finding him worthy even as he promised to continue his empowerment program on human capacity development. Ugwumba further assured Imo Youths of his unflinching supports. Also in her words, the SSA Owerri Zone Community Relations yo the Governor, Hon Chika Ibekwe promised to carry all the people in the state along in the scheme of things even as she promised never to let the people of Owerri Zone down
Ibekwe therefore called on Imolites to always drum their collective support to Governor but encouraged the organizers of the Awards to remain focused and committed. Meanwhile the Imo Punch Newspaper correspondent who bagged Best Journalist of the year Award, Comr. Chidiebubr Okeoma thanked Arise Africa Magazine fit finding him worthy as the worthy as the most outstanding Imo based journalist. Okeoma furthermore commended all and sundry who came to the epoch making event on his behalf and extolled the management of Arise Africa never to relent in the business of choosing and selecting credible persons of integrity and unquestionable character for Awards
