Tireless performer, Hon. Chike Okafor in another phase of equipping of Health Centres he renovated in his Constituency
The member representing Ehime-Mbano Ihitte-Uboma and Obowo Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Deacon Chike Okafor has commenced another phase of equipping the health centres he renovated in his constituency.
It will be recalled that the banker turned legislator had used his good office, while he House Committee Chairman on Healthcare Services to attract the renovation of over 80 Primary Healthcare Centres in his constituency and beyond. Not satisfied, he constructed about 5 cottage hospitals from the scratch and has been equipping them, from time to time.
Hon. Chike Okafor is reputed for having organized some of the biggest free medical outreaches, back to back, in the past 5 years, which saw to the distribution of drugs and successful operation of over 1,000 surgeries each year, all free.
This time around, honourable Okafor distributed medical equipments valued at N60m to various health centres with an assurance that other health centres will take their turn, in due course.
