Youths of Umunachi Community in Isiala Mbano Local Government Area of Imo State have regretted the escape of a suspected homosexual syndicate operating within their community, and vowed to apprehend him to face the law of the state.
Our newspaper gathered that the angry youths from the Community had attempted to arrest one Duru Temple Chijindu from Umunachi and Collins Zor-ol Lesor from Bori Khana local government area of Rivers State in a hotel (name withheld) along Okigwe Road in Imo State over an alleged homosexual act.
Investigation carried out revealed that the incident occured on 11th of April 2022, adding that while Duru Temple Chijindu was able to escape from the hands of the angry youths, his friend Collins Zor-ol Lesor was not lucky as he was beaten to death by the angry Community Youths.
Speaking to newsmen in Owerri, Imo State capital, High Chief Okey Osuji corroborated the testimony of the village head of Umunachi Community that the incident happened on 11th of April 2022 in a hotel along Okigwe Road, Imo state Nigeria.
According to him, “Umunachi Community youths furiously stormed the hotel to arrest two suspected homosexual, Duru Temple Chijindu and Collins Zor-ol Lesor from Bori, Khana LGA in Rivers state at the hotel for defiling the community”
An eye witness account revealed that Duru and Collins were lovers and have indulged in the immoral act for many years without trace until the angry youths intensified the manhunt on them leading to the death of Collins, while Duru fled to unknown destination.
Report obtained has it that the escaped suspect, Duru Temple Chijindu now at large has been declared wanted by the Nigerian security agencies.
It was reliably gathered that the angry Youths who were allegedly believe to belong to a notorious cult group in the Community, also set the family house of the escaped Homosexual suspect, Duru Temple Chijindu ablaze as the whereabout of his father and other members of his family still unknown.
