Hon Ebere Ugo is a native of Umujiriji in Ehume Obowo local government area of Imo State.
He is the son of Mr Frank Ugo, who impacted the lives of many over the years as a teacher who rose through the ranks to become a headmaster special class before his retirement from active service and an industrious mother, Ezinne Elizabeth Ugo
Born on the 24th December 1969, at a time in the history of our great nation and community, when wisdom and tough realities of existence mattered for the right survival.
His journey of life has fairly been without difficulties as he believes in the true existence of the Almighty God in whose abundant shelter, he has grown to become whom he is today.
In the world of academics, he posses a west African School Certificate from Uboma Secondary School Ikperejere Etiti acquired in nineteen eighty six and eventually gained admission to study Banking and Finance at Abia State University Uturu in nineteen nineteen one. On graduation in nineteen nineteen seven, he enrolled and acquired an MBA in management from the same institution and in his quest to become a better personality wielded for a society that he knows his generation would desire, he went ahead to acquire a Certificate in Computer Application at the Zenith Computer College Lagos in the year two thousand.
Having been forged for the responsibilities ahead, he was employed in Franbet Company Ltd Lagos were he worked as an Admin/Finance Manager between August nineteen nineteen nine to May two thousand and three, managing the responsibilities but not limited to, Opening Of Letters Of Credit, communicating with banks for reconciliation, keeping inventories of company’s assets and liabilities, compilation of payment vouchers and overseeing to the day to day operations of the company. He was also overseeing as a unit manager, Life and Pensions Department, Leadway Assurance Co. Ltd, Lagos between February two thousand and one and May two thousand and three. His responsibilities at Leadway included, Sale of life and Educational Endowment policies to corporate organisations, supervising marketers/agents assigned to his office, training and monitoring the progress of new agents on the job and keeping records of all policies issued by the company.
Cell Communications Ltd(Cellcom) Abuja, employed him on recommendation in June two thousand and three as an Assistant Manager, Territorial Sales, a position he held till December two thousand and four, identifying franchise and dealers, Representation of the company at Telecome exhibitions, creation of brand visibilities, implementation of sale strategies and recruitment of dealers and sub-dealers before he was promoted to Head, Sales/Marketing in January two thousand and five.
In this new position, he was developing and executing new business plans and strategies, monitoring brand loyalty, communications, supervision and working with advert agencies on promotions. His time with Cellcom though monumental ended in June two thousand and seven when Visafone Communications Limited Abuja, offered him a brighter opportunity as a Manager, Corporate Sales, a position he held admiringly with its own responsibilities including managing Abuja dealer sales business and ensuring good business from VSPs amongst others.
In October two thousand and eight, Visafone announced him as an Area Manager for Jos Nigeria after a nationwide search for a competent and capable hand for the position so, he joined Visafone Jos and went into formulation of policies and procedures, scouted for Visafone Strategic Partners, staff training on products and new offerings, supply chain management, incentives, targets, reports, establishment of shops and kiosks and brand visibility. To God Almighty he owns his exposures and experiences gained in the Telecommunication World when he moved on meritoriously in December two thousand and nine to some other field of life that eventually offered him the opportunity of greater life’s challenges.
Twinlight Media International Limited, a global media outfit would in January two thousand and ten, employ Ebere Ugo, as Head, Sales/Strategy to, conduct market surveys and feasibility studies for all her products, monitor sales activities and market trends, supply chain management, avoiding stock-outs, relating with foreign producers and ensuring that all financial obligations are met, achieving set goal but above all, he brought to the table of Twinlight, New Business Developments and for two years he provided his knowledge to the growth of this company evident in the hundred percent rise in Assets and Capital base of the company as at the December two thousand and eleven annual reports. While he was warming up to bigger responsibilities at Twinlight, another international media outfit Chilaks Nigeria Limited was negotiating with the owners of Twinlight on the possibilities of hiring him on a two years contract as their General Manager with heart warming offers on his side and this would eventually lead to his resigning from Twinlight in April two thousand and twelve to join Chilaks Nigeria Limited as a GM in may two thousand and twelve. In Chilaks, he drove the overall goal of the company untill December thirty first, two thousand and fourteen when he established Ebyjones Global Concepts Ltd in Abuja Nigeria.
Untill his emergence as the Chief Executive Officer of Ebyjones, he served with utmost respect to human dignity in companies of repute through a period of seventeen years.
Between January two thousand and fifteen and December two thousand and fifteen, he was the special assistant to the chief medical director FMC Owerri were he provided sound managerial inputs to the Medical Director and also related between the MD and top government functionaries.
While in Imo State, he also established Ebyjones Drycleaners, a branch of Ebyjones Global Concepts Ltd in a way to further include our children into his workforce which is totalling fifeteen at the moment.
It’s worthy of note that, he has been part of the employment cycle for Obowo people either in his company since inception or on recommendation to other sectors of the economy where they fit in.
Hon Ebere Ugo is happily married to his lovely wife and are blessed with beautiful kids. He is a Christian. A registered member of Dikeakolamba age grade and Ehume Obowo town union.
