In what was regarded as a harvest of encomiums, accolades, and commendations, yesterday, the 8th of January, 2023, at Umuonyeocha Umuokeh Obowo the country home of the Member Representing Okigwe South Federal Constituency, our candidate and the APC ticket bearer for Okigwe South Federal Constituency, Rt. Hon. Deacon. Chike Okafor (Ph.D.) hosted APC Party EXCOs across the three LGAs of the Okigwe South Constituency and the campaign council: Deacon Chike Okafor Campaign Organization- DCOCO to a Christmas and New Party.

The event had in attendance the Member representing Obowo State Constituency, Rt. Hon. Barr. Kennedy Ibeh, (Speaker Emeritus); Chief Engr. Alex Samuel Onunaka Mbakwe, Chairman Campaign Council, APC for Obowo LGA; the 3 Sole Administrators of the LGAs in Okigwe South; Zonal Chairman of APC Okigwe Zone & all the members of State Working Committee; The Candidate for House of Assembly, Ehime Mbano State Constituency & former Deputy Chairman of Ehime Mbano LGA, Hon. Chidi Ozoemena; GLO, Okenanlogho Ward, Hon. Prince Ikechukwu Magnus Okeke, MD Cardliac Group of Companies Port Harcourt; Eze Ifeanyichukwu Onwunali, GLO of Amuzi Ward, the invited members of LGA & Ward Exco across the three LGA of the Federal Constituency; DCOCO Team, and the Honourable Commissioner of Trade and Investment, Hon. Simon Ebegbulem.










Speaking at the event, Hon. Deacon Chike Okafor disclosed that the event which holds yearly every December was put on hold until a later date consequent to the demise of his Father In-law.
He said, “I suspended all campaign activities and all manner of celebrations as part of my tribute to my late Father In-law, Chief Cyriacus Uwayeremugwu Okeke”.
While thanking them for commiserating with him and the family of Uwayeremugwu deeply during this period of grief, he used the opportunity to convey his profound gratitude to the Executive Governor of Imo State, Dist. Sen. Hope Uzodimma for his support and for honoring his invitation to join him and the family as they pay last respect to Late Chief Uwayeremugwu.
He also thanked very profusely, Dr. Lady Love Ineh who led the members of the State Executive Council to condole and console him.
He further revealed that he is one of the two most ranking members of the APC extraction and by the time he returns in June 2023, he will be the first from South East and South South, therefore stands a better chance of clinching whatever principal office that will be zoned to the South East.
Against the above backdrop, the APC Federal House Representative Candidate strongly urged the party LGA and Ward leaders across the three LGA of the federal constituency to work assiduously in the forthcoming elections to return not only him but all the APC candidates to the Imo House and National Assembly respectively, for the continuity of good and effective representation.
Hon. Okafor who is renowned for his great humanitarian efforts gave out huge sums of money, and bags of rice and donated a cow to the Party LGA and Ward EXCOs in appreciation while urging them very strongly to remain unshakable in their resolve to support and work for the part at the 2023 general elections as he leaves them with the assurance that APC remains the party to beat.
