Arise Africa Launches “Smile at Christmas” Street Feeding Program in Owerri”

Owerri, Imo State – In a determined effort to combat hunger and spread festive cheer, Arise Africa magazine kicked off its Street feeding initiative on Friday, December 6. The program began with a community street feeding program that kick started from  Owerri Municipal, Imo State, Nigeria

During the flag off of the project, the founder of Arise Africa, who also marked his birthday and anniversary on the same day, personally handed out food packs and water to the less privileged along Control post junction, Douglas, Orji, and Okwurata streets. The initiative was made possible through the generosity of members of the Arise Africa community, who donated their resources to actualize the project.

Speaking at the event, the founder emphasized the urgent need to address food insecurity by mobilizing compassionate Nigerians and engaging local communities. He described the program as a continuous effort bringing relief to vulnerable groups.

“Food insecurity remains a pressing issue in our society,” he stated. “Through this program, we aim to demonstrate love and compassion, inspiring others to take similar action. This is not just about food; it’s about restoring hope and dignity to those in need.”

Arise Africa is a platform committed to showcasing Africa’s beauty through impactful community engagements, volunteer services, and poverty alleviation initiatives. Over the years, the organization has been instrumental in transforming lives by fostering talent development, skill acquisition programs, and promoting sustainable values among African youths

The founder urged Nigerians to join in creating a cultural reawakening that emphasizes ethical and sustainable values. “The future lies with our youths,” he said. “We must guide them away from negative influences and towards building strong, self-reliant communities.”

Arise Africa Network also focuses on equipping young people with education and financial freedom through skill acquisition programs, which empower them to unlock their full potential. The founder reiterated the need for cooperative efforts to uplift African communities and called for better governance and policies that prioritize societal well-being.

The organization expressed gratitude to all volunteers and supporters who contributed their time, talent, and treasure to make the street feeding program a success.

He commended the loudable efforts of Her Royal Majesty Queen Dr Shirley Okwudinma, the founder of Women of Honour whose Association ensured that 1,000 families were reached with Bags of Rice on 7th Date at Assumpta Pavilion
